Gaucho Rum

Gaucho Premium Rum is a new product to market from Good Time Design; a large restaurant and entertainment group based out of San Diego, California. Caava Design was commissioned to develop a visual brand identity for a strong light rum created in partnership with Kill Devil Spirit Co. Gaucho’s style is rooted in classic southwestern typography and woodblock illustration to pair the rum’s south of the border inspiration. The handsome Gaucho was drawn by Mitch Frey who has partnered with us previously on Buena Cerveza, a Mexican style lager also produced by Good Time Design. This in-house brand can be seen on wall murals and in restaurant menus all over San Diego, and has been purposefully designed to break into the retail market as this new brand continues to grow.
