Prior to founding Caava Design, Cody gained branding experience designing for clients such as World Vision, Starbucks, Diageo, Easton, Plant With Purpose, WD-40 and Westfield. He holds a BFA in graphic design from Point Loma Nazarene University. Affectionately dubbed "font savant", he has an irritating knack for identifying any typeface that crosses his path. He spends most of his time behind a camera, or on his bike, sometimes simultaneously.

A graduate of Waldorf College, Slade proceeded to work for a post-production house in Arizona. Afterward, he began freelancing in the film industry. In Los Angeles Slade worked on high-end commercials, TV and Feature Films. Outside of the Film Industry he has worked alongside several Advertising Photographers. In a business that survives purely on referrals, Slade has thrived. At Caava Design Slade's expertise spans across management, photography and website development.
