Reshape the Earth at Your Feet

Reshape the Earth at Your Feet poster for Ember Arts
This is a special collaboration between Ember Arts co-founder James A. Pearson and Caava Design. James wrote the following words for our friends at Invisible Children.

Have you ever walked up to the ocean, right where the waves are reaching up the sand, and just planted your feet? When a wave rushes back down the shore you can feel it trying to sweep you away. It tugs at your calves. It cuts grooves in the sand around your feet.

That wave is like history, and your life is a choice: either let yourself be swept away or take a stand. Being swept away is easy and fun, but eventually you will just disappear. Taking a stand is hard, but you will reshape the earth at your feet.

Click on the poster or HERE to see James' post and download a high-res version for free.

Gandhi Poster for ReView Religion documentary films

Monday, March 12, 2012
ReView Religion (http://reviewreligion.org) will be a series of short documentary films that will act as a supplement for education on world religions. While these films will focus on some basic informational facts about world religions, they will mostly focus on showing the diverse ways that people experience/practice various religions. The approach is inspired by the producers experience as student travelers - where learning about religion from someone who practiced that religion inspired much more of an open-minded understanding than learning the same ideas from a textbook.

Their group feels very strongly about the importance of educational material on world religions being more accessible, more diverse, and, most importantly, more human. They understand that people disagree on key theological issues - this project is not attempting to convince anyone differently. The main goal here is to get people to treat others as they would like to be treated. Eloquently stated, "We think that when people are exposed to the human side of various world religions, they are less likely to carry uniformed, prejudiced views, and more likely to treat those who are different than them with a little more respect."

This poster is part of a gallery of posters they are offering for anyone who donates $20 or $35 to their cause. Find it HERE or visit reviewreligion.org.
